Scope and Contents DAYTON CLARENCE MILLER (1866-1941), professor of physics at Case School of Applied Science (now Case-Western Reserve University) in Cleveland, Ohio, was a colleague of A. A. Michelson's. After the negative outcome of the Michelson-Morley experiment to detect the ether-drift in 1887, Miller continued the work with Edward W. Morley.
