Alexander Rich (b. 1924) is an MD and molecular biologist. He spent the years 1949-1954 at Caltech working as a research and teaching assistant under Linus Pauling. The file contains his scientific memoir titled The Excitement of Discovery, published in Ann. Rev. of Biochem. 2004.
