Abstract

Reproduction of a portrait painting by Thomas Gainsborough. For many years identified as Franklin (probably due to its similarity to an 18th c. French print by P. Maren). In actuality, is a portrait of David Middleton. Engraving by G. Sanders. Proof. Published by Henry Graves & Co., London, 1868.
