According to note with instrument: microbalance made by Victor Neher "cast off from Bridge Lab 1974." Instrument consists of wooden case with glass panels on two sides (doors) and top; with exterior dial scaled to unknown unit (possibly submilligram). Interior parts mostly missing. Includes small box labeled "Very small weights"; weights are lacking. Includes paper label with sensitivity readings, partly illegible. Mounted on four plastic feet. Handwritten note on provenance taped to glass, possibly by Charles Barnes. Probably made in Caltech physics shop.
